A.J. Kaufmann's „The Crazy 7 Years: A Compilation” album puts together recordings spanning from 2011's studio album „Second Hand Man”, to 2017's home-recorded „Eden Full of Sore”. Across 28 tracks selected from 20 albums recorded during 7 years of artistic activity, there are singer/songwriter folk songs, psychedelic folk songs, traces of kosmische pop, traces of brutalist rock, psychedelic rock, psych folk, sonic experiments and aural assaults, inspired by punk, krautrock, space rock, and psychedelia. A.J. Kaufmann is an underground poet, songwriter, and musician from Poznan, Poland, active since 2008 („Siva in Rags”, poetry chapbook, Kendra Steiner Editions). His first studio album, „Second Hand Man”, was released in 2011 in Poland on vinyl and CD with Mimics Cool. His second album, „Stoned Gypsy Wanderer”, was released in 2014 in the USA on CD-r with Kendra Steiner Editions. An EP of brutalist rock material, titled „r'/,f”, followed in early 2017, released by the Poznan,Poland Labela label, on mini CD-r and in digital format. A harsh noise album titled „Escape from Hekate” was released also in 2017 on the Indonesian Gerpfast Kolektif label, digital, and as a limited tape release.
